Hey GO(L)D,

It's my first time posting here, and it's really kind of weird because I'm not used to Blogger. Anyway, I really wanted to share these two songs from 33 Miles because as I was listening to them on the way home today, I just sensed that God was speaking to me.

The first song is "Jesus Calling", and when I listened to it, it really felt like He was reminding me that He is still there with me in this walk, and promising that if I really listen, I can hear Him speaking. And then right after the song ended, Noel (not 852) suddenly texted me to say that he has leukemia. I have this terrible fear of people around me dying, especially because of cancer because my grandmother died of it. And then the second song "I Loved You Then" played, and I knew it was God affirming His previous promise.

So I really hope that you guys will really listen to the lyrics of the songs.

P.S. Please pray that Noel's cancer can be cured, because as much as I want him dead, I don't really mean it. He's going through blood transfusions and all that stuff, and I know it really hurts because I saw my grandmother go through all the treatment. I don't know whether he's lying or not (because I don't think anyone would joke about his life), but I really don't want to live with the guilt of not being nice to a dying person because I thought he was lying.

P.P.S. Pray also that I will have the wisdom to choose the appropriate words to encourage him and stuff. He recently received salvation again, and he's trying hard not to blame God this time, and I'm afraid that he might misunderstand the things I say and lose faith in God. Also, if you guys have any Bible verses and stuff that I can use to encourage him, please e-mail/ text me cos he finds no meaning in reading the Bible, and I feel that this is a really good chance to change that mindset.

Thanks for reading this really long post. I really, really appreciate it.

One thing that really encourage me during the first 2 weeks in BMT is to know that Jesus eyes is ever off me and He really cares for me (despite of my performance )

Honestly it's not easy to be a christian in camp. Everyone (including me) is saying vulgarity. All kinds of people in camp and it's not really possible to do QT everyday esp after one whole day of training.

I think it was 3 days ago when i got some extra time i went online(with my hp) for some devotion. I read a short devotion and listen to a 10min sermon and both talk about army life. (I also donno why). I don't believe in coincident, I believe God plan it that way.

I felt God is saying @ that moment to me "you are always in my heart, I never forget you" words cannot enplane how i felt. I thank God that all this can only happen all because Jesus took my bad on that cross and His goodness is imputed to me.

when God see me, He see JESUS as my covering. I feel empowered to life for JESUS and thank GOD I finally found 2 brothers in Christ 30 mins before booking out.

GOD IS GOOD. He loves you=]

God the Father said this of Jesus “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased”. Some time ago as i was preparing to give a message, the Holy Spirit reminded me of this verse. Today because I am IN Christ, God can say this to me

“YOU are my beloved child in you I am well pleased”

God see Jesus to judge you and as Christ is so are we in this world. I screw up the message, I did not kept up to the expectation of other. But you know what, Jesus is still pleased with ME =] i do not need to perform for Him to love me.

Yes we learn from mistake, but never let mistake pull you away from the love of GOD. Jesus loves you.

A life story of how God always use the weak for His glory. Sometimes i do feel "jealous" that my life is not as dramatic and my salvation story not as "powerful" and i compare myself with these brothers. I use to have this WRONG thinking that God only use people who really suffer a lot in life to do His special work.

The truth is God use ANYONE who is humble enough to receive His grace. ANYONE. I just felt the Holy Spirit saying this to me a min ago "I love you as much as him". knowing i am so so love by Jesus cause me not to compare by pray a blessing over this brother in Christ.

God wan to use YOU too =] will you humble yourself to see your need for Jesus. Not only for salvation, but in everyday life =]

Everything in the OT is a shadow of the NT.

EVERYTHING in the Bible points to JESUS!! We cannot teach a passage of scripture without showing JESUS in it.

My personal conviction --> Whatever passage in the bible, if I cannot see Jesus in it, it means i don't have a revelation yet.

And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself (Luke 24:27)

When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them (Luke 24:30)

Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him (Luke 24:31)

Does what Jesus did @ the table remind you of something?? YES, the Last Supper or Holy Communion.

The Last Supper is actually a fulfillment of an OT festival - Passover(celebrated untill today by the Jews). The story of the first passover can be found in Exodus 12:5-15

God have "HIDDEN" many truth about JESUS in the passover ceremony. Things that even the Jewish teacher don't understand. eg

On this special day God commanded the Jews "Eat nothing made with yeast. Wherever you live, you must eat unleavened bread"

This Bread is call "Matzo" the same bread Jesus took for last supper

Things unique about this bread

Without yeast
Strips
Pierced Holes
Burn mark

Jesus said "this is my body."

Yeast in the bible speaks of sins. Jesus is without sin. Yet He bore on our behalf the stripes and was pierced on the Cross. Fire in the bible sometimes speaks of judgment. Jesus on the cross consume ALL our judgment

Jesus holding the Matzo bread and said "This is my body, broken for you"

The bible tells us

after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood (1 cor 11:25)
4 Cups

In the Jewish passover celebration they drink from the cup 4 times. 2 before supper, 2 after. the Bible tells us Jesus took the cup AFTER supper. which is the third cup, and surprisingly this cup is call the cup of redemption/salvation.

Drinking this cup, the Jews look back to the first passover where God delivered Isreal from slavery and look forward to a messiah to save them.

Jesus took this cup and said

"This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."

Finally the disciples understood, years after years they celebrate the passover and there in front of their eyes Jesus fulfill everything

The word Abba, father is sososo beautiful. It's daddy, papa. there is Intimacy, closeness and love. Not a father out there somewhere in the sky.

Many in this generation grew up in dysfunctional family, broken family and Absent Father. (even in "holy" christian homes, a father maybe there physically but away emotionally)

A story of 2, yes 2 lost sons. But the main character is the Father. A Father who is totally rejected by His son and told to drop dead. The Father's unconditional love and acceptance.

vs 16: after wasting all his money, the younger son end up feeding PIGS(unclean for jews) and had noting

vs 17 - 19: He return home not for his Daddy, but for his belly. He even rehearse a speech thinking by his OWN good words he can persuade his father to make him a slave. NO NO NO, he totally missed the father's heart

You may think this message is for the non believe and you are already safe. remember, the older brother though he was "in church" was lost too. lets Jump to -->

vs 29: "But he answered and said to his father, 'Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends'

WAIT!!! why are you serving and trying to earn God's favour, grace, blessind, love etc when He have already lavish everything upon us. This son was prideful a self centered. God will NEVER allowe you to earn what He freely gives. NEVER!!! it's free

His eyes is not upon his Father's goodness but by his own performance (so many of us too. that's why i always say "LOOK TO JESUS")

Notice Friends, he have no heart for his Father. NOW, wait a min!!! did not the Father divided the property BETWEEN them. As the older he have 2 times more. and just like wat the Father said in vs 31. ‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

He had more then a goat. He had everything the Father had. Are you like this older brother?? God had given you EVERYTHING

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Romans 8:32

Our first stop at the Singapore flyer!

So from east coast park to the flyer was about 6.3km (Y)

Otw to marina barrage we went to the double helix bridge :D

Finally after a long ride, we arrived at marina barrage (5.5km ride)

We went to maxwell food centre for fun hahah. Didn't take any pictures there.

Passing through orchard to get to newton circle hahah

After supper, we decided to go to old changi hospital to take a look :x

And finally after breakfast we headed back to east coast park which was like 17km away.

Total distance cycled that night - 68.3 km :D

One of the hardest things to do is to be saved by grace. There’s something in us that reacts to God’s free gift. We have some weird compulsion to create laws, systems, and regulations that will make us “worthy” of our gift.

Why do we do that? The only reason I can figure is pride. To accept grace means to accept its necessity, and most folks don’t like to do that. To accept grace also means that one realizes his despair, and most people aren’t too keen on doing that either.

Few mins ago, something went wrong with my laptop. My 20 days old laptop. The mouse cannot move and i felt abit sian. Honestly i did not feel like praying. Really, maybe because of pass expreance that did not work however i decided to give it a try against my will.

I lay hands quite down my heart and claim that "God is for me not against me" i reject the thought that everytime i have computer it will go wrong and spoke "in JESUS name be well"

You know wat!! Noting happen, it was still the same!!! :(

However just when my heart wan to be discourage and find my own way to solve the problem i was reminded of wat Joyce Mayer said "you have prayed already, relax, it's God's problem now and do not let you heart be trouble, don't worry"

You know wat!! The moment i keep my heart from worry i got an idea and guess wat, i am typing now!! yeah!! IT works :)

ONE thing i really believe, i really do, i always say also - our faith is NOT base on ours/others expreance(good or bad) it is base on THE WORD of GOD!!

I believe in healing not because i saw it happen or i expreance it, but because the WORD said so. My faith will not be shaken even if christian leaders fail cos my faith is NOT base on them not even pastor Kenny but the WORD(Jesus Christ)

From this saturday onwards LCG will be at Ezekiel house .so please take note of it.the time is at 2.30pm-4.30pm .i guess the first week we will be meeting up as LCG then we will go together.the LCG leaders will sms you guys again about the timing and venues of meeting up together as a cg.

i guess most of us are really busy with our studying as almost every weeks we will have different test upcoming for us,and lots of homework waiting for us to go and finished it,but i guess we should really put some time away for god .we really should think and ponder about our weeks,and our life ..

Something for you to read :
There once was a man named George Thomas, pastor in a small New England town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak...'I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me swinging this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped the lad and asked, 'What you got there, son?' 'Just some old birds,' came the reply.
'What are you gonna do with them?' I asked.

'Take 'em home and have fun with 'em,' he answered 'I'm gonna tease 'em and pull out their feathers to make 'em fight. I'm gonna have a real good time' 'But you'll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do?'
'Oh, I got some cats,' said the little boy. 'They like birds. I'll take 'em to them.'
The pastor was silent for a moment. 'How much do you want for those birds, son?'
'Huh?? !!! Why, you don't want them birds, mister. They're just plain old field birds. They don't sing. They ain't even pretty!'
'How much?' the pastor asked again.
The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, '$10?'
The pastor reached in his pocket and took out a ten dollar bill. He placed it in the boy's hand. In a flash, the boy was gone.
The pastor picked up the cage and gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot Setting the cage down, he opened the door, and by softly tapping the bars persuaded the birds out, setting them free.
Well, that explained the empty bird cage on the pulpit, and then the pastor began to tell this story.
One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting. 'Yes, sir, I just caught the world full of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait I knew they couldn't resist. Got 'em all!'
'What are you going to do with them?' Jesus asked.
Satan replied, 'Oh, I'm gonna have fun! I'm gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other, how to hate and abuse each other, how to drink and smoke and curse. I'm gonna teach them how to invent guns and bombs and kill each other. I'm really gonna have fun!'
'And what will you do when you get done with them?' Jesus asked. 'Oh, I'll kill 'em,' Satan glared proudly. 'How much do you want for them?' Jesus asked .
'Oh, you don't want those people. They ain't no good. Why, you'll take them and they'll just hate you. They'll spit on you, curse you and kill you. You don't want those people!!'
'How much?' He asked again.
Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, 'All your blood, tears and your life.'
Jesus said, 'Done!' Then He paid the price.
The pastor picked up the cage he opened the door and he walked from the pulpit.
Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell?

Isn't it funny how someone can say 'I believe in God' but still follow Satan, who, by the way, also 'believes' in God.

hey GO(L)D, below is some information on what the Christian Crusades are about.
Question: "What were the Christian crusades?"

Answer: The crusades have provided some of the most frequent arguments against the Christian faith. Some Islamic terrorists even claim that their terrorist attacks are revenge for what Christians did in the crusades. So, what were the crusades and why are they viewed as such a big problem for the Christian faith?First of all, the crusades should not be referred to as the “Christian crusades.” Most of the people involved in the crusades were not truly Christians, even though they claimed to be. The name of Christ was abused, misused, and blasphemed by the actions of many of the crusaders. Second, the crusades took place from approximately A.D. 1095 to 1230. Should the unbiblical actions of supposed Christians hundreds of years ago still be held against Christians today?

Third, not that this is an adequate excuse, but Christianity is not the only religion with a violent past. In actuality, the crusades were responses to Muslim invasions on what was once land occupied primarily by Christians. From approximately A.D. 200 to 900, the land of Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Turkey was inhabited primarily by Christians. Once Islam became powerful, Muslims invaded these lands and brutally oppressed, enslaved, deported, and even murdered the Christians living in those lands. In response, the Roman Catholic Church and “Christian” kings/emperors from Europe ordered the crusades to reclaim the land the Muslims had taken. The actions that many so-called Christians took in the crusades were still deplorable. There is no biblical justification for conquering lands, murdering civilians, and destroying cities in the name of Jesus Christ. At the same time, Islam is not a religion that can speak from a position of innocence in these matters.

To summarize briefly, the crusades were attempts in the 10th through 12th centuries A.D. to reclaim land in the Middle East that had been conquered by Muslims. The crusades were brutal and evil. Many people were forced to “convert” to Christianity. If they refused, they were put to death. The idea of conquering a land through war and violence in the name of Christ is completely unbiblical. Many of the actions that took place in the crusades were completely antithetical to everything the Christian faith stands for.How can we respond when, as a result of the crusades, the Christian faith is attacked by atheists, agnostics, skeptics, and those of other religions? We can respond in the following ways: 1) Do you want to be held accountable for the actions of people who lived 900+ years ago? 2) Do you want to be held accountable for the actions of everyone who claims to represent your faith? Trying to blame all of Christianity for the crusades is analogous to blaming all Muslims for Islamic terrorism.
